Christmas is coming to town, and this time, Deliveroo are bringing it right to your door. Partnering up with Britain’s Got Talent finalist Kojo Anim and the Charities, The Felix Project and FareShare to help bring food to some of the UK households who otherwise would not be able to afford the Christmas Meals that many of us take for granted.
It is worth remembering that around 1.3 million households relied upon food parcels over the last festive period and research has estimated that over 10 million people within the UK can be considered as living in poverty. Seeing companies who have become so integral to the British way of life therefore take steps to help support the communities they serve is always a welcome sight.
Listed on Deliveroo as “Crackers Cracking Hunger (Order Crackers)” a number of venues have opened from varius Deliveroo Editions kitchens where customers can order a set of Christmas crackers for £10, with jokes written by Kojo Anim and each box will help provide 50 meals for those in need.
Finalist Kojo Anim, who stole the nations hearts with his stand-up comedy performances the 2019 season of Britain’s Got Talent has said that when approached by Deliveroo to work in this collaboration, he couldn’t refuse as “my gift is to tell jokes but my purpose is to help people.”
Our Scrapes have found that if you’re in one of the below locations, you’ll be able to take part in this festive act of kindness:
If however you find yourself outside of these locations, why not consider donating to the Felix Project directly and help ensure another family gets the Christmas meal they deserve, https://thefelixproject.org/donate-christmas-2021.
